Who Are We?

Biblio Publishing is an independent publisher featuring fresh and interesting titles and offering a free, modern method of publishing. Biblio Publishing offers the most up-to-date digital creation and printing of books as well as the ability to format and offer eBook formats to many titles. Our eBooks are sold through our website and through major online bookstores such as Amazon.com, BarnesAndNoble.com, The Apple Bookstore and more. We also offer fulfillment services for orders to all brick and mortar bookstores as well as distribution services through Lightning Source.

Biblio Publishing has its roots in educational publishing, with our earliest offerings in the area of course materials in the mid 1980s. After many years of focus on the educational field, we began offering our services to the public and educators alike.

Biblio Publishing is an employee owned business. We are an environmentally conscious business with an eye on the use of recycled materials and the recycling of waste products. Additionally, although Biblio Publishing offers its services nationally, we also focus on the community in which we reside, Columbus, Ohio.

• Book Pricing

  *Note: There are no charges to publish through Biblio Publishing. The following costs are for the purchase of book copies only.
  Once Biblio Publishing has the full information about the specifications of the project, usually after the book has been fully set up, we will determine an Author's cost (price at which the author may purchase copies of his/her own book) and a Suggested Retail Price for sale of the book to the public. At this point, the author may determine the royalty that they would like to receive, which will be added to the initial Suggested Retail Price.

• Preparation Services

  Although an author's book may be finished, there are usually a number of processes that need to be performed before the book goes to print. The book may need simple re-formatting either for sizing purposes or aesthetic reasons. There may be some design work to be done to enhance the appeal of the book such as the design of a custom cover. Finally, it is always a good idea to proof the book in printed form. Biblio Publishing allows the author to review one or more proofs, when necessary, to make sure that everything is right before printing the final edition.

• Marketing

  Biblio Publishing does not include marketing services as a part of our basic services. We will, however, sometimes become engaged in the marketing efforts of a particular project based on business calculations. These efforts might include, marketing material printing, mailings, and press releases.

• Distribution

  All books published by Biblio Publishing are assigned an ISBN, are listed in Bowker's Books In Print and are placed on Amazon.com and in the Biblio Publishing online bookstore.

• Author's Rights

  The author always retains the rights to his/her own book. Biblio Publishing only obtains the right to sell the specific edition of the book that it helped to create for a period of at least three to five years after the date of first publication of the work. The author can, at any time, take their book to another entity or change their book without permission from Biblio Publishing.
