Submission Information and Guidelines
Information
Biblio Publishing accepts all book submissions!
Unlike other publishers, BiblioYou will take the time to review your submission and offer feedback, and guidance to help you create a book of which you can be proud.
Some publishers simply turn down, or ignore a submission if they're not interested in publishing it. After denial they don't care what happens to you or your book.
And some publishers will publish your book no matter what condition it's in. It may need editing, formatting, design... but they don't care. They will publish your book even if it needs more work, because they just want you to buy the high-priced packages that they're selling Or they're playing the numbers game; accepting as many submissions as possible to make money from the large numbers of members who buy into they're system.
At Biblio Publishing we want to accept all submissions, and help them to reach publication, but we won't just give you a pass. If you submit a book that's ready to publish, we'll publish it right away. If you submit a book that needs work, we'll point you to the resources that you will need to create a book that that will make you proud, and hopefully one that will sell well. We do not charge a fee for publication. We believe that a legitamate publisher should gain its revenue from the actual sale of books. Not by charging an author thousands of dollars for setup and services that often yield no returns to the author.
Guidelines
-
Preparation for Submission
Your manuscript should be edited and ready for publication. Yes, there may be a few typos, formatting issues, or items that need to be adjusted, but the text should reflect proper grammar and punctuation. If you need help with editing, contact Biblio Publishing. We have a list of editors that can work with you to prepare your manuscript for submission. -
Submission Format
Your manuscript must be submitted in digital form. In most cases it should be submitted in an editable format such as a Word Doc, or inDesign file. This will allow Biblio's prepress department to format the text into a printable book file. Such a file is also necessary for conversion to eBook formats. If your manuscript is to be printed "as is," it should be submitted as an Acrobat file. -
Reprint Submissions
Biblio Publishing also offers republication of books that are out-of-print or when the author would like to change publishers. Submission for these types of books will normally not go through the full review process. These titles can be submitted in digital format, usually PDF, or Biblio can perform a hi resolution scan of a printed copy. Note that changes to this type of book may be limited in cases where and editable file is not present.
